Did You Know?: Navigational tips

It’s one of the most anticipated and highly attended sessions at Summit, and this year Kerry (Rosvold) Peters will be presenting her famous “50 Tips” session twice – in both Business Central and NAV.  Summit 2019 will feature over 1,300 fellow NAV and Business Central community members, so it’s the premier learning event of the year.  We’ve been at every Summit since the first, so we say with authority, if you’ve never been, you’re missing out.  There is still time to register though, and if you’re already signed up, we want to make sure you have at least one of Kerry’s sessions on your schedule:

Who doesn’t want to be smarter or more efficient in NAV or BC?  But you better be ready to take quick notes as it will be a flurry of good ideas coming at you.  Thankfully Kerry has shared a few tips from both sessions to help you get started.

Tips for NAV

1. Saved Views can act as a powerful mini-reporting tool
2. You can easily remove the table formats created when exporting data from NAV to Excel
3. Using Quick Entry can keep you from wearing out the Tab on your keyboard

Tips for BC

1. Focus Mode can buy you more screen real estate than any other option
2. Partial Search will find you better results with the least information
3. Yes, you can easily have more than one instance of BC open at a time
