Do you remember all the steps you did last year to close out your year-end and get set for the new year? If you’re like us you’ve forgotten what you had for dinner last week, so for those once-a-year tasks a quick refresher is a pretty good idea. Imagine the confidence you’ll have with your journal entries, closing, and budgeting processes after attending this class! We can’t wait to share with you timehoned best practices, tips, and efficiencies for these critical accounting functions.
Efficient and effective Journal Entries are the bedrock of sound financials and a valuable opportunity to streamline your processes and reduce your manual effort. We’ll take a comprehensive tour of all the capabilities of journal entries within the system, including the hidden tips and tricks available in recurring journals and general journals. You’ll learn what they are and how to take advantage of them all to reduce data entry and increase your accuracy and confidence in entries made to your system. Then we’ll focus on helping you to drive consistency, accuracy, and speed in the month-end close by equipping you with everything you need. Learn how to control month-end cutoff for postings, which reports to use for reconciling accounts, and what exactly should be included on your company’s monthend checklist. For those once-a-year activities you’ll be equipped to establish or fine-tune your processes and checklists for your organization and team. And if you’re not presently using the Budgeting features of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV, prepared for an eye-opening experience with an invaluable and easy-to-learn tool.
